AKŞEHİR TSO GULFOOD/ DUBAI INTERNATIONAL FOOD FAIR AND BUSINESS TRIP COMPLETED

Akşehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Ender Kalkan stated that the business trip to Gulfood/ Dubai International Food Fair organized by our Chamber in Dubai was completed successfully.

Stating that he could not attend due to the coordination of the aid to the earthquake area, President Ender Kalkan announced that the Dubai leg of our business trip was held under the guidance of our Board Member, Tacettin Akkuş.
 
President Kalkan; We live together with sadness and pride. While our aid to the earthquake region continues, we are working to support our country's exports. Our chamber will continue to work with the board of directors, assembly, professional committee and all its organs in order to fulfill all the requirements for the future of our country and region.
 
Our Chamber participated in the Konya Dubai Gulfood 2023 International Business Trip Program with 23 participants. With the start of the program, our members had the opportunity to meet with more than 4,300 exhibitors from 120 countries and nearly 100,000 visitors from all over the world at the Gulfood Food Fair. In the big fair, designed as 22 halls, our members visited the stands of UAE companies and international companies and examined their products. He held bilateral business meetings with company managers at the stands. They exchanged sectoral information and business cards.
 
A meeting was held in the hospitality of Dubai Chamber of Commerce, where the regional economy and job opportunities were discussed. At the meeting, Dubai Chamber of Commerce International Relations Manager Oman Abdulaziz AlKhan and Economic Research Specialist Dr. Nizami Imamverdiyev gave a presentation to the participants about The Big Picture: Exploring Opportunities in the F&B Market in the United Arab Emirates and answered our members' questions. Hamriyah Free Zone business organization meeting was held in order to inform our members about the possibilities of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) free zones and the possibilities of facilitating international trade. At the meeting, Hamriyah Free Zone Manager Mr. Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Business Development Manager Mr. Geomon George and Mr. Omar Al-leem welcomed the attendees. Free zone cooperation promotional film and presentation were made for our members first. Then, Astarta and Al Islami Foods companies operating in Hamriyah Free Zone were visited. On behalf of our President Ender Kalkan, our Board Member Tacettin Akkuş presented a memory of our Chamber to the Hamriyah Free Zone in order to remember us and to develop our cooperation, due to the hospitality, valuable information they provided to our Chamber and our members and the development of relations between Akşehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Hamriyah Free Zone.
 
Our Chairman Ender Kalkan stated that we are happy that our overseas business trip has been successfully completed in a way that will contribute to our members, in the meeting about the trip that took place under the guidance of Tacettin Akkuş, our Member of the Board of Directors. In addition, he stated that everyone we met from the beginning to the end of our United Arab Emirates (UAE) program expressed their condolences and wishes for a speedy recovery due to the earthquake in our country, that they were touched by witnessing the fundraising activities throughout the program, and that he thanked the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and its people for the help given to our country.
