Akşehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Ender Kalkan issued a message for the August 30 Victory Day.

In his message, President Kalkan: “The biggest step of our nation in the War of Independence; On the 101st anniversary of the great offensive victory, we once again proudly celebrate the victory of our Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and our army. The Turkish Nation gained the honor of living in independence with the liberation of our homeland with the Battle of the Commander-in-Chief, which started in Akşehir under the command of our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and ended with a matchless victory on 30 August 1922. With this victory, our nation has declared to the whole world that it will not compromise its independence.
 
On this occasion, I commemorate Veteran Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the Founder of the Republic of Turkey and the Commander-in-Chief of our War of Independence, who bequeathed this beautiful country to us, his comrades-in-arms and all our Martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their homeland, and I commemorate our heroic veterans with gratitude. I Celebrate the August 30 Victory Day of our nation," he said.
